General Motors Part Number 14061655 Clutch Housing
New Old Stock
Pictures And Descriptions are from a new old
stock bellhousing.
This housing is used with 168 tooth flywheels and
has the 5 1/8" center hole for GM truck transmissions.
It has two transmission bolt patterns. One for
Saginaw Muncie 465 (SM 465).
The other pattern is for the New Process 440 (NP-440).
Bottom View
This is a mechanical linkage housing,
that uses SAE fasteners. All 6 transmission to
housing threads and the zbar support stud hole are
1/2"-13. The 4 inspection plate attachment bolts
are 1/4"-20.

None of the examples I have seen, have the GM
logo cast into them.
Drivers Side View
The clutch fork hole is the same a the GM car,
so it can use the same rubber boots.
There is no provision for a hydraulic slave cylinder.
Cross Shaft Mount
This housing has the 1/2"-13 threaded hole for
the engine side zbar support ball stud.

The inspection plate mounting is different from
Our part #234 will not fit.

The casting #14061655 is the same as the GM
part number.
Another View of the Ball Stud Hole
The truck ball stud hole is in a different position,
when compared to the car bellhousings. They can't
be used as an alternative, for 1965-70 Chevy
passenger cars.
Also notice the 1/4"-20 threaded hole on the
side for inspection plate mounting.
