This is the shoulder bolt that attaches the clutch
pedal push rod to the z bar on 55-58 Chevrolet
passenger cars.

The head is marked with an "E" and has an
unusual shape that is hard to see in this picture.

There is a slight shoulder before the threads start.

Reproductions
There are at least two versions available.
One is too short, this makes the GM part #3716811
bushing tight against the upper push rod. The
shoulder portion of the bolt for the upper rod is
also too long. The correct operation of this
bushing, bolt and upper rod, is for the bolt to be
tightened to the rod and the bolt to spin in the
bushing.
Wrong Length
The bushing shoulder is too short and the push
rod shoulder is too long.
Correct Length
This is my part #217 bolt, it is also used in my
part #250 kit.
