1965-66 Pontiac Full Size "Hurst" Shifter Install Kit

This kit has every thing needed to add a factory Hurst Competition Plus shifter to a "Stud Style" Muncie transmission (Trans I.D. 451) with Casting #3857584 or #9779246 tail shaft housing.

This is a Hurst kit with an OEM used shifter bracket and additional parts, not a cheap reproduction. Shifter not included.

Kit includes:

OEM used Shifter to Transmission Bracket (GM part #9779491)

Shifter to Bracket Bolts

Shifter Bracket to Transmission Bolts and Lock Washers

3rd and 4th rod, swivel, 2 plastic bushings, lever, lever to transmission bolts and 2 "G" clips

1st and 2nd rod, swivel, 2 plastic bushings, lever, lever to transmission bolts and 2 "G" clips

Reverse rod, swivel, swivel, 2 plastic bushings, lever, lever to transmission bolts and 2 "G" clips

Plus:

Shifter rod alignment tool and instructions.

6 steel Hurst rod bushings

Lever to transmission hardware

This is not factory correct linkage kit( it uses an original shifter mount and aftermarket Hurst linkage.

Tailhousing to crossmember mount may need modified for reverse rod clearance. (SEE last picture)
