GM Casting #9779246 Transmission Extension Housing and Tail Shaft

The GM part number for the housing is 19779245. The GM parts books list this for 1965-67 P/8 S.T. (Pontiac Big Car with V8), and 65-66 4/S S.T. exc. F85 (Oldsmobile Big Car).

This is the long Muncie transmission tailshaft and and extension housing used to convert the readily available standard Muncie, to the hard to find Pontiac and Olds Long Tail Muncie.

The housing looks to be in nice condition with good threads, no cracks, breaks or repairs. The tailshaft looks nice to me, but I'm no expert. It would be best to have your transmission builder look at the pictures if you are worried.
