65-70 CHEVY PASSENGER
I have owed a variety of 1967-70 Fullsized cars or B Bodies. Including a 67 Caprice, 1969 Biscayne, a 1969 Impala,
a 1970 Impala and an Impala wagon. They were all automatics and with the exception of the "Biscuit"
as I call it.
The Biscayne was a 2 door sedan with a straight 6 and a three speed that was converted to a floor shift.
I remember a previous owner had welded the shifter handle on. The way I found this out, was when my
right hand slammed into the dash when grabbing second gear a little hard one day.
For awhile after that I had visegrips for a shifter handle.
One of the nicest looking cars I can remember I saw at the Carlisle swap meet in the early eighties.
It was a Black on Black on Black 69 Impala SS with a 427 cubic inch engine 4 speed and hideaway
headlights. I can still picture that car. Anyways there is something about a big car, big engine and a
4 on the floor.
I have been collecting parts for this conversion for the last two years and I still have a ways to go to
get it all together. What I do have I will be researching and documenting in the following categories.
If you like or own one of these beasts enjoy.
If you have original or NOS standard shift parts for sale give me a call.
