We test fitted one of these kits on a Saginaw (456 Torque tube) transmission.
The results are that, this is made for a reverse position of over to the left and down.
This allows you to use backdrive linkage (not sure what model, possibly 70's F body).
This can be used for a reverse position of over to the left and up.
The reverse lockout function can not be used with the reverse left and up position.
The instructions for this kit say that rods may need to be bent, and to bend them cold.

Reverse Rod
This rod is too long and may need bent with the reverse lever in either position. By making these
bends more severe, you can shorten this rod.
Reverse Lever
When this lever is used for reverse over left and up position, there is interference with the 1st and 2nd
gear lever. The fix is to cut the lever at this point.
